Academics

The LVV is a new research facility for use by the academic community that provides an entirely new open access capability.

The importance of the LVV to the national and international research communities is already clear. There is a very broad range of testing scenarios that could make use of the LVV that go beyond structural dynamics, as such the academic beneficiaries come from a wide and varied group.

Operating at full scale and across climates and environments, in conjunction with the Dynamics Research Group (DRG) , the research enabled by the LVV will address industry needs across multiple sectors, including:

  • Aerospace
  • Transport (Automotive / Rail)
  • Civil Infrastructure
  • Energy (Offshore / Nuclear / Renewables)
  • Medical Engineering

Access to the LVV is available to both collaborators and 'independent users' for whom we can provide significant support.
